About Flintoff’s Ashes

Flintoff’s Ashes is run by me, Mike Busson. I’m an actor come who spends much of his time in between acting roles (i.e. all of my time) developing websites for small to medium sized businesses through my company Magic Bus Designs. I’m a keen cricketer who has been playing for Iver Heath CC for the last 19 or so seasons. Note : keen, not good.

Flintoff’s Ashes is not some kind of fan site for Freddie Flintoff. I’m in my mid 30’s and far too heterosexual to be running a fan site about a male English cricketer. No, it’s more of a celebration of the upturn in fortunes of the England cricket team and how a certain Mr Flintoff has been instrumental in England being ranked second in the world.

Flintoff’s Ashes is about cricket. It’s about England. It’s about the Ashes. It’s about having a bit of fun. It’s light hearted and not to be taken too seriously. The new site is designed to be as interactive as possible with the hope that over time the readers will dictate how the site develops.

I hope you enjoy the site. Feel free to comment on any of the posts or contribute your own through the Contact page. Try to keep your comments clean ;)

Hey, watch it. I’m in my late thirties and profoundly heterosexual and yet I would love to run a fan site for Andrew Flintoff. He is just so epically glorious. The way the sunlight catches his hair. Those manly arms. The playful glint in his steely eyes as he caresses the ball with those big strong hands. Pressed tight against his trousers, the magnificent outline of his…..

Hang on, hang on. This isn’t going how I planned. I’m going to go now and drink some beer, leer at women and punch someone in the throat. I’ll be back, having reclaimed my heterosexual credentials, to talk cricket.

Try to contain your excited anticipation.

Kind regards etc…..

Hi Jamie,

Thanks for stopping by although after reading your opening paragraph I was wondering what I was letting myself in for reading the rest!
