It’s lunch on the first day of the opening Test. Australia are looking pretty good for their 109-1. Harmy looks all out of sorts and England need to raise their game after a couple of cheese and onion sandwiches.

However, the problem we have at Flintoffs Ashes is the major flaw in my own pre-match planning. I have, as you know, purchased a few crates of Red Bull to help me get through the series. What I hadn’t planned on was drinking 8 cans of Kronenbourg before a ball was bowled. Oops

It just kinda happened. I got a bit excited. Call it PMS. Whatever way you look at it, the bookmakers have closed the book on me snoring my arse off on the sofa by tea.

Balls.

Incidentally, Patrick has asked the same question on his blog. Why is Freddie wearing a black armband? I’ve emailed the folks at Sky Sports so if (a) they respond and (b) I’m still awake I’ll let you know.
