England batsman Ian Bell had to go to hospital after he was hit on the left wrist during practice and is now doubtful for the opening Ashes Test.

Bell was hit by a delivery from Jimmy Anderson and is now suffering from severe bruising and it seems likely that Irish born Ed Joyce will make his Test debut at the Gabba. To be sure, to be sure.
